Hartland woman injured in parking lot collision
HARTLAND -- A Ridge Road woman was injured and charged after a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Chapman's Market on Ridge Road at 1 p.m. Friday.
State Police said a minivan driven by Nicole Houghton, 25, and a pickup truck driven by Leif Woodman, 42, of Johnson Creek Road were turning into the parking lot at the same time.
Reports said Woodman made a sharp right to try to get to a parking space in front of the store, and Houghton's vehicle struck the pickup on the passenger side.
Houghton, who was treated in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital for back and neck pain, was cited for moving from her lane unsafely.
Police seek two teens in Wilson Farms robbery
NIAGARA FALLS -- Detectives Friday were looking for two teenagers in connection with the armed robbery of the Wilson Farms store at 1500 Main St. at 10:15 p.m. Thursday.
An employee told police that two teenagers wearing dark clothing robbed the store and one was armed with a shotgun. Police said the armed bandit pushed the employee to the cash register and forced her to give him all the money. The same bandit attempted to enter a locked office where another employee was, but was unsuccessful, police added.
The robbers fled when they learned police were summoned, and the armed bandit crashed into a locked door, shattering the glass and causing $250 in damage, police said.
Police searched a home on South Avenue, where they found a jacket and weapon linked to the holdup, but witnesses could not identify the suspect, who was released.
As a result of the search, police charged Cortez D. Davis, 17, of South Avenue with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Man charged with DWI after sidewalk trip on ATV
NIAGARA FALLS -- An Orleans Avenue man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after he allegedly drove an ATV onto the sidewalk Thursday evening.
Randy L. Zimmerman Jr., 28, also was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, unregistered vehicle, failure to produce insurance and unlawfully operating an ATV on a highway. Police said they pursued Zimmerman from 27th Street and Orleans Avenue, to his home, where he was arrested.
