Kathleen Margaret Karyczak, of Buffalo, died Dec. 6 in Buffalo General Hospital after a long battle with kidney failure. She was 39.
Born in Buffalo, she graduated from Emerson Vocational High School and continued her education at Bryant & Stratton Business Institute, where she earned an associate's degree as an administrative assistant.
Recently, she was a homemaker but also worked as a sales associate at Kary Gold and Silver and a was a food-service worker for Sportservice.
Survivors include a sister, Christine Ziemba; three brothers, Kevin Hoolahan, Michael Hoolahan and Brian Hoolahan; and her former husband, John.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Asbury United Methodist Church, 3750 Millersport Highway, Getzville.
