Mary C. Hogan, of Niagara Falls, died Monday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. She was 85.
Born in Niagara Falls, Miss Hogan graduated from St. Mary's High School and with a bachelor's degree in sociology from D'Youville College in 1942.
She was the director of services to military families and disaster services with the Niagara Falls branch of the American Red Cross from 1944 until her retirement in 1983. She was also in a supervisory capacity with the Red Cross on major disasters throughout the United States.
Miss Hogan was awarded the Top Hat Award in 1973 and was a member of Niagara Falls Country Club.
Prayers will be said at 9 a.m. Friday in Rhoney Funeral Home, Cayuga and South Ninth Streets, Lewiston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45 in St. Mary of the Cataract Catholic Church, 259 Fourth St.
