Wanda H. Wolniewicz, Auxiliary leader <br> Nov. 20, 1922 -- Dec. 9, 2006

Wanda H. Wolniewicz, of Buffalo, died Saturday in Millard Fillmore Hospital. She was 84.

Born Wanda Gorski in Buffalo, she worked in food distribution at BUILD Academy.

She was a member, past president and chaplain for 27 years of the Auxiliary of Adam Plewacki Post 799, American Legion. She was also a member of Erie Salon 51, Forty & 8, Women's Honor Society of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her husband, Joseph J., died in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Marie Long, and a brother, Harold Gorski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 123 Townsend St., after prayers at 8:45 in Kazmierczak Funeral Home, 3640 Clinton St.
