Suzanne Cichon, an administrative clerk and union activist, died Saturday in her Grand Island home after a brief illness. She was 49.
A Buffalo native, Ms. Cichon was a graduate of Nardin Academy and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute.
She worked as an administrative control clerk at Erie County Medical Center.
Ms. Cichon was active in her union, the Civil Service Employees Association, which she served as unit secretary and as Employee Assistance Program representative. She also enjoyed the theater and traveling.
Survivors include a brother, Paul.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 4 p.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen Catholic Church, 193 Elk St.
