Sister Mary Audrey Reil, educator <br> March 17, 1921 -- Dec. 9, 2006

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sister Mary Audrey Reil will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary of the Angels Chapel, 201 Reist St., Williamsville.

Sister Mary Audrey, a Franciscan and educator in Buffalo and San Juan, Puerto Rico, died Saturday in St. Mary of the Angels, where she had lived since 1989. She was 85.

Sister Mary Audrey attended Mount St. Joseph's Teachers College and received a master's in education and administration from Buffalo State College.
As a member of the Franciscan Congregation of St. Mary of the Angels for 65 years, Sister Mary Audrey dedicated her service to teaching in the elementary and junior high schools conducted by her order in the Diocese of Buffalo and the Archdiocese of San Juan. She served as principal, organist, and music and choir director in some of the schools and parishes.

She retired from teaching after 30 years and was assigned to the business office of the order's health care facility at St. Francis Hospital.

Survivors include a brother, Donald M.
