Alberta G. Collins, a retired social worker, died Saturday in her Hamburg home. She was 95.
Born Alberta Goodale in Hamburg, she was a 1928 graduate of Hamburg High School and earned a degree in sociology from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, in 1932.
She was a social worker with the Erie County Department of Social Services from the early 1930s until 1973, when she retired.
Her husband of 49 years, Thomas C. Sr., also a social worker with the Erie County Social Services Department, died in 1988.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane Mansell, and two sons, Thomas C. Jr. and John A.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Donald M. Demmerly Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave., Hamburg.
