Eileen D. Caffery, a West Seneca homemaker and active churchwoman, died Nov. 20 in her home. She was 79.
Born in Buffalo, the former Eileen Dee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Orchard Park. Mrs. Caffery was a volunteer in the church's genealogy department and worked on her own family history as well.
She was a graduate of the Buffalo School District and in more recent years, attended Erie Community College, where she studied English.
Mrs. Caffery also was a volunteer for the American Red Cross blood donor program.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas J.; three daughters, Eileen Yager, Debora Goviea, and Karen Starr; and a brother, James Dee.
Services were held Nov. 25 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ward in Orchard Park.
