Wanda J. Kucewicz of Depew, the longtime co-owner of Ziggy & Zon's World, died Wednesday in the Hospice of Sisters Hospital. She was 73.
Born Wanda Kasprzak in Buffalo, she was a graduate of Riverside High School.
Mrs. Kucewicz was co-owner of Ziggy & Zon's World, a variety store that featured a unique collection of sundries -- crafts items, greeting cards, Christmas and other holiday items and decorations -- located in the Airport Plaza on Union Road in Cheektowaga.
When the business closed in 1997, she went to work as a bridal consultant at Suzanne's Wedding World in Cheektowaga.
She had been active in planning for Buffalo's St. Patrick's Day Parade, and its Division 3, which was dedicated to her.
She also was honored with the Cheektowaga Business of the Year Award.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Sigmund S.; four sons, Kenneth, Jamie, Robert and Sigmund Jr.; and three daughters, Kathleen McDonald, Laurie Erhardt and Susan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 10 French Road, Depew.
