Elizabeth G. Pontecorvo, of Getzville and formerly of Niagara Falls, died Sundayin Buffalo General Hospital. She was 93.
Born Elizabeth Zambito in New York City, she came to Niagara Falls as a young child with her family and attended local schools.
She married Augustino Pontecorvo on April 29, 1935, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Niagara Falls. He died in 1955.
During World War II, Mrs. Pontecorvo was employed at Bell Aircraft in Wheatfield. She later worked as a supervisor for Niagara Sample and Book in Niagara Falls for 23 years, retiring in 1980.
She is survived by a sister, Lena DeSantis.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Wednesday in Niagara Falls.
