Canalside, 210 Market Street, Lockport, will be the setting when Alpha Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International attends the Pi State Northwestern Area Conference on Saturday. The conference begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. followed by a meeting at 10 a.m. and brunch at 10:30 a.m. At noon, the group embarks on a boat tour of the Lockport locks and canal.

Buffalo Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha national sorority will tour Albright-Knox Art Gallery at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, with lunch in the Muse restaurant. Mary Goulding and Rosemarie Sugg are chairwomen.

The Association of Italian American Women will meet for Victorian-style high tea at 2 p.m. Sunday in the White Linen Tea House, 6610 Shawnee Road, Wheatfield. Cost is $15.

Hopevale Charities Board of Directors will sponsor its 10th annual "Fall Fashion Festival" Sunday in Brierwood Country Club, starting at 11:30 a.m. with a raffle of 150 baskets. Luncheon will be served at 1 and 2 p.m. Fashions from the Jacqueline Shoppe will be shown. Bonnie Clesse is chairwoman and Norma Rusert-Kelly is co-chairwoman. Corporate sponsors are First Priority Mortgage and Misiak Jewelers. Admission fee is $25. For information, call 648-1964.

Programs promoted by Erie County Home Bureau will be discussed at a meeting at 9 a.m. Monday in Michael's Banquet Facility, 4885 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg, preceding a noon luncheon.

College Club of Buffalo's Breakfast by the Book group will meet at 10 a.m. Friday to discuss "Painted Kiss" by Elizabeth Hickey. Judy Danforth will lead the discussion. A bridge luncheon is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Marlea Crowther will present a program, "Quilts Through the Ages," for Williams Mills Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Beechwood Residence, Getzville. Elaine Dentico will be hostess. Prospective members may call Karen Lang at 823-0292.

"Teacher Man" by Frank McCourt will be reviewed by Ruth Dallman at a meeting of Students' Club of Buffalo at noon Wednesday at the home of Barbara Reichert in Hamburg. Mary Jane Meyers and Mary Ann Moeller will assist the hostess.

Covenant United Methodist Church will have its fall chicken barbecue from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the church, 539 Main St., West Seneca. Take-out service will be available. There will be a country kitchen with baked goods and theme baskets for sale.
