Squeaky Wheel was one of 89 organizations in the United States and Canada to receive a $10,000 Starbucks Foundation grant for its free computer literacy program, techARTS for girls. The program is geared toward minority and economically disadvantaged girls to help bridge the technological gender gap.
Auditions for Shakespeare in Delaware Park's summer productions of "Love's Labour's Lost" and "Twelfth Night" will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. next Friday and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 8. Callbacks will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. April 9. Actors should prepare two memorized, contrasting Shakespearean monologues, each approximately two minutes long. Actors are requested to bring a resume/career bio and a photograph to the audition. Professional head shots are preferred but not required. An optional 1920s or 1930s standard song (one minute or less) may be prepared a cappella.
The Aurora Players will hold auditions for its upcoming production of "Sylvia" at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Roycroft Pavilion, Hamlin Park, S. Grove St., East Aurora.
