Warren Miller of Buffalo, retired manager of a halfway house, died Tuesday in Deaconess Skilled Nursing Facility after a long illness. He was 83.
Born and raised in Martinsburg, W.Va., Mr. Miller lived in New York City before moving to Buffalo in 1964.
He worked as a bartender in New York, then as house manager of the Buffalo Halfway House for 17 years before his retirement 10 years ago.
Mr. Miller enjoyed following pro football.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Joan Moe; a daughter, Tracie Bynum of Buffalo; a son, Warren Jr. of Gaithersburg, Md.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service may be held at a later date.
