Pedro Rivera Alicea, who worked for the Pepsi-Cola bottling plant in Cheektowaga for 30 years, died March 19 in his Buffalo home after a long illness. He was 73.
The native of Patilla, Puerto Rico, attended schools there before moving to Buffalo about 50 years ago.
Mr. Rivera Alicea retired as a Pepsi employee in 1994.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, the former Ana Delia Carrero; five daughters, Rosa Maria Rivera, Aida Maria Rivera, Johanna Collazo, Aurea Rivera and Hilda Rivera, all of Buffalo; three sons, Elvin Rivera of El Paso, Texas, and Wildalfredo Rivera and Miguel Rivera, both of Buffalo; three sisters, Maria Rivera, Nilda Rivera and Dominga Rivera, all of Patilla; a brother Miguel Rivera of Patilla; and 17 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered last week in Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
