Dorothy J. Miller of Depew, a retired airport security supervisor, died Tuesday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga, after a long illness. She was 77.
Born Dorothy Ciszak in Cheektowaga, she graduated from East High School in 1945. She was a security checkpoint supervisor at Buffalo Niagara International Airport from 1986 to 1997 and received numerous commendations.
Mrs. Miller was a charter member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was noted for "Dorothy's Down Home Fudge."
Survivors include two daughters, Karen McCrohan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Susan of San Ramon, Calif.; a son, Alan of Merrimack, N.H.; a brother, Robert Ciszak of Depew; and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 French Road, Depew.
