David P. Gill of South Buffalo, a retired employee of Nabisco, died Monday in Buffalo General Hospital after battling cancer for 18 months. He was 40.
The city native graduated from South Park High School. He had worked at Nabisco for 17 years before retiring because of his illness.
Mr. Gill loved camping, fishing, antiques and working on his cars.
Survivors include his wife, the former Joan Setlock, whom he married last summer; a stepdaughter, Michelle Setlock of Buffalo; his parents, Timothy G. and Donna of Buffalo; two sisters, Colleen Kelleher of Buffalo and Kathy Cully of West Seneca; and two brothers, Robert of Buffalo and Timothy M. of West Seneca.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Thomas H. McCarthy Funeral Home, 1975 Seneca St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1974 Seneca St. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
