Robert L. Brown, retired Ford inspector <br> March 30, 1935 -- March 23, 2006

Services for Robert L. Brown, of Buffalo, will be at noon Thursday in First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 467 William St. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.

Mr. Brown, a retired inspector for Ford Motor Co., died Thursday in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. He was 70.

Born in Carlisle, S.C., Mr. Brown was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He moved to Buffalo in 1953 and went to work that same year as a quality control inspector for Ford, retiring in 1997.

A member of First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, he loved to travel and go to the casinos.

Survivors include his wife, the former Debra A. Jones of Buffalo; two daughters, Phyllis of Pittsburgh and Jacqueline Sinclair of Brooklyn; a son, Kenny Jones of Buffalo; three sisters, Carrie Porter, Hatie White and Brenda Plowden, all of Buffalo; a brother, Michael of Buffalo; and six grandchildren.
