Mary M. Hudson, a retired toll collector, died Saturday in her Angola home after a long illness. She was 85.
She was born Mary Guest in Buffalo and lived in Lackawanna and Silver Creek before moving to Angola about 20 years ago. She retired in 1980 after working for many years as a toll collector on the Thruway.
Mrs. Hudson was a member of the Red Hat Society, Take Off Pounds Sensibly and the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Farnham. She enjoyed playing poker at the Evans Senior Center, bowling and reading.
She was the widow of John Kennedy, who died in 1957, and Robert Hudson, who died in 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Snyder of Naples, Fla.; three sons, John Kennedy of Buffalo, Robert Kennedy of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and James
Kennedy of Silver Creek; a sister, Joan White of Baltimore; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Addison Funeral Home, 262 N. Main St., Angola.
