Mary K. Donnelly of West Seneca, a retired Prudential Insurance employee, died Sunday in Garden Gate Health Care Facility, Cheektowaga, after a lengthy illness. She was 85.
Miss Donnelly was born in Lackawanna and attended local schools, graduating from South Park High School and later studying at St. Mary's Business School.
She worked for Prudential as an office manager and field-office consultant in Buffalo, Kingston, Syracuse, Rochester and Albany. She retired in 1981 after 42 years with the company.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Miss Donnelly was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, the American Business Women Association, the West Seneca Players, the Friends of Western New York Public Broadcasting and the Seniors Eager Approach to Our Retirement, Culture and Happiness organization. She also was an honorary member of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce.
She loved traveling, including visits to Europe, Canada and California.
Survivors include a sister, Eleanor of West Seneca.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Hoy Funeral Home, 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. John Vianney Church, 2950 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
