John E. Toledo Sr., a retired Trico Products Corp. employee, died Saturday in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He was 68.
Mr. Toledo was born in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, where he graduated from high school. He lived on Buffalo's West Side for 50 years.
He retired as a foot-press operator for Trico in 1987 after a 30-year career.
Mr. Toledo wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation in the early 1980s and was a wrestling coach and youth counselor at the Downtown YMCA.
His wife, Anna Springer Toledo, died in 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda of Mobile, Ala.; two sons, John E. Jr. and Robert, both of Buffalo; six sisters, Josepha Rodriguez of Buffalo and Anita Diaz, Luz Marie Avilez, Maria Carabello, Gladys and Santia, all of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico; two brothers, Daniel of North Carolina and Angelo of Buffalo; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Lombardo Funeral Home, 473 Niagara St.
