>Niagara deputies charge 4 with drunken driving
WHEATFIELD -- Niagara County sheriff's deputies Saturday charged four people with driving while intoxicated.
Brad E. Harvey, 34, of Kimball, Mich., was stopped for speeding at 2:44 a.m. on Niagara Falls Boulevard, deputies said. He registered 0.15 blood-alcohol content when tested, deputies added.
Terry D. Carter Jr., 21, of 21st Street, Niagara Falls, was arrested at 4:23 a.m. on Lockport Road, after his car swerved repeatedly onto the shoulder, deputies said. He registered 0.16 blood-alcohol content. Carter also was charged with moving from a lane unsafely.
Michael L. Potter, 45, of 91st Street, Niagara Falls, was charged at 5:24 p.m., while driving away from a sandwich shop, deputies said. His blood-alcohol-content was 0.14, deputies added.
Brian K. Wesolowski, 35, of Welch Avenue, Niagara Falls, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. on Williams Road. He also was charged with speeding, deputies said.

WHEATFIELD -- Three cars were broken into at two Errick Road homes Saturday morning.
Niagara County sheriff's deputies said that at about 1 a.m., a resident reported that his car had been entered while parked in the driveway of his home. Stolen were a fully equipped fishing tackle box and 20 compact discs, valued at $540, he said.
The CDs were discarded at the scene of a second burglary nearby an hour later, when two cars were entered, according to deputies, who said that items valued at $170 were stolen.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Items valued at nearly $3,000 were stolen Friday from a vehicle owned by a Riverview Drive resident, Niagara County sheriff's deputies said.
Power tools, 134 compact discs and two pair of sunglasses were stolen from the unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the victim's driveway, deputies said.
