>Two arrested in fight in Falls taco restaurant

NIAGARA FALLS -- A bloody fight inside the Colosso Taco restaurant on Pine Avenue early Sunday resulted in the arrests of two men.

Charged with disorderly conduct were Michael R. McNamara, 25, of 83rd Street, and James P. Prater, 33, of Monroe Avenue.

Police said the two were covered in blood when they arrived at the restaurant at about 3:50 a.m., the result of a head-butt thrown by McNamara that sent Prater to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

>Two assaulted at party in Cristoforo Columbo Hall

NIAGARA FALLS -- Two teens were assaulted while attending a birthday party in Cristoforo Columbo Hall on Pine Avenue early Sunday, police reported.

An 18-year-old Centre Court man told police he was hit over the head with a metal chair while dancing inside the club at about 1:45 a.m. He was treated for minor injuries in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

About 15 minutes later, a 17-year-old Jordan Gardens woman was attacked from behind while standing outside the facility. Another girl shoved the victim's head into a rock, causing a cut over her eye that required treatment at Memorial.
