Gregory H. Knight, a carpenter, died Tuesday in Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 41.
A Buffalo native, Mr. Knight was graduate of South Park High School. He worked as a carpenter until the late 1990s, when he became disabled.
Mr. Knight served as president of the Bailey Block Club for the last seven years, helping organize community events and Crime Watch activities. He was a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church.
He enjoyed sports and music.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, the former Murfia D. Davis; three daughters, Tiffany, Latissia and Cashmere; seven sons, Gregory H. Jr., Raymond, Andre, Jamal, Marshawn, Keshawn and Jayquan; five sisters, Linda Gibbs, Barbara L. Lewis, Veronica Pointer, Deborah Gibbs and Geraldine; his father, Hershel Jr.; a brother, Willie J. Gibbs; and three grandchildren, all of Buffalo.
Services were held Friday. Burial was in St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca.
