DUCK SOUP will be among many items on the menu of the Conference Center Niagara Falls first Wild Harvest Game Dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 101 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls.

Other items by chef Chris Guppenberger include pasta with venison meat sauce and buffalo meatballs, venison sausage with peppers and onions, black bean and corn chili, barbecue buffalo steaks, venison meatloaf, turkey ala king, roasted root vegetables, salt potatoes, venison carpaccio bread sticks, chef salad and assorted desserts. FAMILY STYLE roast beef dinners will be served from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6950 Ward St. at Niagara Falls Boulevard, Wheatfield, to raise money for a ceiling-attached lift for Colleen Syruws, a member of the church with multiple sclerosis.

Gordon Martin, ticket chairman, said the tab will be $8 for adults and $3.50 for children younger than 12. Kids younger than 5 eat free. He said Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is helping sponsor the event and will provide matching funds for the ceiling lift. Michelle Campbell and Bill Nelson are co-chairpersons. MILITARY NOTE -- Airman Chad M. Dziamski, a 2003 graduate of Lake Shore Senior High School, recently completed basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the son of Mike Dziamski of Derby and Judy Chiz of North Collins.
