Egilio J. Bellagamba, a retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., died Tuesday in Waters of Aurora Park after a brief illness. He was 87.
Born in Lackawanna, Mr. Bellagamba lived there for all but the last year of his life.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in Guam.
Mr. Bellagamba had worked as a chemist's assistant at Bethlehem Steel from the 1940s until retiring in 1984.
He was a member of the Italian Club and enjoyed horse racing and casinos.
His wife of 50 years, the former Mary Grace Skobjak, died in 2004.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jo Jackson of Orchard Park, and two grandsons.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Victory Basilica, Ridge Road and South Park Avenue, Lackawanna, preceded by prayers at 8:30 in Lombardo Funeral Home, 3060 Abbott Road, Orchard Park. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
