The Yale Cup will seek its fourth straight victory over the Monsignor Martin Association at Saturday's ninth Paul R. Missana Silver Hoops Classic.
A lineup of three all-star games involving Western New York's top leagues will be held at the Grabiarz School, 225 Lawn Ave. The Erie County Interscholastic Conference will take on the Niagara Frontier League at 12:30 p.m., the ECIC North will play the ECIC South at 2 p.m. and the Yale Cup will meet the Monsignor Martin at 3:30 p.m.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children, with all proceeds benefiting the Butler-Mitchell Alumni Association.
The USA Women's Hockey national championships begin today at the Amherst Pepsi Center. The finals will be held Sunday evening.
The USA Hockey Girls national championships will also take place at the Pepsi Center, beginning Wednesday and running through next Sunday.
The Gymnastics Unlimited Level 8 boys team took first place in the New York State championships March 18 at West Point.
The first place team consisted of Aaron Ellison, Eric Niedermeier and Colton Rudloff. Ellison (high bar) and Niedermeier (pommel horse) qualified for regionals.
In Level 5, John Castilloux took first place on high bar.
BASKETBALL: The Cheektowaga Lions Club will host the eighth Senior High School Ladies Basketball Classic on Saturday at Cheektowaga Central High School, 3600 Union Road, Cheektowaga. GOLF: Seasonal passes for the Cazenovia Park, Delaware Park and South Park golf courses are going on sale, starting Saturday at Cazenovia and Monday at Delaware. Prices vary for senior citizens, youths, city residents and members of the Olmsted Parks Conservancy. The season is scheduled to begin April 15, weather permitting.
