Fashion model Alison Houtte -- who worked for more than 10 years in Paris and Manhattan and was featured in the pages of Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire -- will sign copies of her book "Alligators, Old Mink & New Money: One Woman's Adventures in Vintage Clothing" from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Divine Finds, 220 Lexington Ave.
Houtte appears as part of the second annual Red Vintage Clothing Fashion Event to raise awareness about women and heart disease. Admission to the book signing and fashion event is free. A portion of proceeds from clothing and book sales will benefit the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" initiative.
Models will display premium vintage outfits, and heart-healthy appetizers and beverages, courtesy of Metropol Russian restaurant, will be provided.
