Elma McGrath, a retired food industry worker, died Saturday in Lockport Memorial Hospital. She was 87.
Born Elma Cowan in Wilson, she graduated from Wilson High School in 1936. She moved to Lockport in the early 1940s and married Donald F. McGrath.
Mrs. McGrath worked for 30 years at College Inn Food Products in Lockport, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the Wilson Historical Society, Hartland Historical Society and North Ridge United Methodist Church.
Noted for her cross-stitch sewing, she donated many tablecloths to Wilson Historical Society fund-raisers.
Her husband died in 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Preish of Rochester; two sons, James of Lockport and Richard of Amherst; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held today in North Ridge Church. Burial was in North Ridge Cemetery.
