Anthony Olivieri of Orchard Park, who was president and owner of APA Electric, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital after a long illness. He was 71.
Born in Lackawanna, he graduated from Lackawanna High School and served in the Army from 1954 to 1956.
He started his business in 1952 and retired in 1996.
Mr. Olivieri received the Special Service Award from the Galanti Athletic Association in 1987.
He was a 30-year member of Post 527, American Legion. He also was a member of Local 41, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Mr. Olivieri enjoyed golfing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, the former Patricia White; a daughter, Dawn Wyman of Willis, Texas; four sons, Anthony of Lackawanna, Thomas and Gerald, both of Hamburg, and James of Orchard Park; two sisters, Maryann Kick of Raleigh, N.C., and Tina Gambino of Orchard Park; a brother, Gene of West Seneca; and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 5920 Abbott Road, Town of Hamburg. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Town of Hamburg.
