>North Tonawanda man injured in bar attack

A North Tonawanda man was beaten and stabbed Sunday morning during a fight in a Delaware Avenue bar, police said.

Mark Flanigan, 21, of Beech Ridge Road, suffered a 15-inch stab wound on his lower back. He was treated in the emergency room of Sisters Hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Central District police reported that Flanigan was jumped by 10 men at about 4 a.m. in Tantra, 153 Delaware Ave.

The assailants punched and kicked him repeatedly, and one of them pulled out a sharp knife or razor and cut his back, police said.
