A memorial service for Ruth Marie Logerquist, a former secretary for Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda schools, was held Sunday in Frasier Meadows Manor, Boulder, Colo.
She died Friday in Frasier Meadows, a nursing home. She was 91.
Born in Ohio, Mrs. Logerquist graduated from Westminster College in Pennsylvania in 1936 and moved to the Buffalo area in 1948.
She worked for 10 years as a secretary at Herbert Hoover Middle School in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda school district.
She was a member of Kenmore Presbyterian Church and sang with the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorale and First Presbyterian Church Choir.
She left Buffalo in 1988, when she moved to Boulder.
She married Verne E. Logerquist in Ohio in 1941. He died in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Jim of Boulder; two daughters, Sally Lampe of Portland, Ore., and Karen Simmons of Longmont, Colo.; a sister, Betty Patton of Jupiter, Fla.; a brother, Robert Steward of Yuma, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
