Sandra C. Hill, who began a physical therapy unit in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital, died Tuesday in her Lockport home under the care of Niagara Hospice. She was 66.
Born Sandra Caldwell in Niagara Falls, she lived in Denver and Randolph before moving to the Lockport area.
After heading the unit at Newfane Inter-Community, Mrs. Hill was the physical therapy manager at Georgetown University Hospital in the District of Columbia. For the past five years, she worked in that capacity for Kaleida Health Care. She retired in 2004.
Mrs. Hill was a member of the American Physiotherapy Association and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Burt.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Robert J. Sr. of Lockport; two sons, Robert J. Jr. of Woodbridge, Va., and Bradley G. of Lockport; a brother, Robert Caldwell of Hamburg; her stepfather, William Weckerly of Orchard Park; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's Church, Wilson-Burt Road and West Creek Road, Newfane. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
