At 11 a.m. Saturday, "The Secret Garden" will be shown as part of the Winter Children's Film Series in Market Arcade Film and Arts Centre, 639 Main St. Things turn decidedly more adult at 7:30 p.m. Monday, when the Daemen College Film Series presents "Dangerous Liaisons" in the school's Alumni Lounge at 4380 Main St.

Theatre of Youth is getting ready for a huge production. Next Friday the company begins the run of "The BFG: Big Friendly Giant," a drama by David Wood adapted from the Roald Dahl novel. The show follows an orphan named Sophie as she is taken to Giant Country -- with plenty of adventures along the way. As always, this Theatre of Youth show features design elements that dazzle people of all ages.
