Nellie M. Hildebrandt of Niagara Falls, a former Carborundum Co. employee, died Wednesday in Northgate Health Care Facility, Wheatfield, after a long illness. She was 83.
Born Nellie Spencer in Shinglehouse, Pa., she moved to Niagara Falls in the early 1940s and worked for Carborundum Abrasives in Wheatfield for many years.
She was the widow of Eugene Hill and Allan "Red" Hildebrandt.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheryl Ancheta of Norwalk, Calif.; a brother, William Spencer of Watts Flats; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Pekin.
