Western New York Federation of Women's Clubs will have a board meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Razzberri's Grill & Bar, 5512 Transit Road, Depew. Reservations for the 12:30 p.m. luncheon may be made by calling Rhoda Wolff, 683-5930. New business will include discussion of the creative writing contest, art show and 110th annual convention.

Smyczynski, who writes travel articles for The Buffalo News and Western New York Family magazine, will speak on "One Tank Trip" at a luncheon for Western New York Branch of National League of American Pen Women at noon Saturday in Iron Island Preservation Society Museum, 998 Lovejoy St. Barbara Blackburn, branch president, is taking reservations at 634-2909.

South Buffalo Post 721 American Legion Auxiliary will serve corned beef and cabbage dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the post clubhouse, 136 Cazenovia St., at $8 each. Ham dinners and sandwiches also will be available.

Buffalo Branch of American Association of University Women's Education and Equality Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Amherst Library at Audubon and Clueless Mystery Book Club will discuss "Slow Dollar" by Margaret Mason, with Shirley Havice as facilitator, at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Plaka Restaurant, Kenmore.

Buffalo City Council of Beta Sigma Phi will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Harlem Road Community Center, Amherst. Members of Kappa Nu and Laureate Zeta chapters will be dessert hostesses. Reservations will be taken for the founder's day dinner April 27 in Classics Banquet Center, at which the council's woman of the year will be announced.

Katharine Pratt Horton Buffalo Chapter of National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, will have a program on national defense at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapter House. Speakers will be John Szarpa, commander of Chapter 187, Order of the Purple Heart, Houston Crum of Buffalo Vet Center, and veterans of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Karen Dickerman and Dorothy Kamprath will be hostesses.

The Rev. Alice McDermott, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ, Tonawanda, will speak at a luncheon for the Samaritan Society at noon Tuesday in St. Stephen's-Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Virginia Smith will be hostess, assisted by members of the Salem church.

Women Associates of he Buffalo Power Squadron will have a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Tonawanda Island Launch Club, North Tonawanda. Approval of the 2006 budget will be included in a meeting at 7:30. Sharon Fiegl and Kathy Connelly are taking reservations. The annual Florence Adams Memorial Award has been presented to Fiegl and the Ida Smither Foundress Award has been given to Lorraine Lesinski.

A representative of Susan G. Komen Foundation will be the speaker at a dinner for Gamma Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International next Thursday in Trinity United Methodist Church, Grand Island. A social hour at 5:30 p.m. will precede dinner at 6.

A video of the 100 years of Continental Hall, Washington, D.C., will be shown at a meeting of Abigail Fillmore Chapter of National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, at 7 p.m. March 24 in the home of Mary O'Shei in Cheektowaga. New members will be inducted.
