1. Get down in the valley at noon Saturday when "The Other Parade" hits the Old First Ward.
Follow the marching bands and family clans as they start from the Valley Community Center, located near the junction of South Park Avenue and Elk Street. Wave at the floats, clowns and classic cars! Stick around after the parade for the real bash at the community center, were "Blackhorn" will rock away the afternoon.
Then get up the next day and do it again on Delaware Avenue, where the parade will start at 2 p.m.
2. Forget the pub crawl. After Sunday's parade, breathe some fresh air at Rotary Rink!
This is the last opportunity to ice skate, and get this: Free skate rental!
That's right, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. skate rings around Rotary, and don't forget to check out the clowns and face painters.
Find the rink at Fountain Plaza. Find the plaza at the corner of Main and Chippewa streets.
