A memorial Mass for Teresa Geisinger, personal cook for a parish priest, will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 66 E. Main St., Hamburg. Inurnment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
Miss Geisinger died after a long illness Dec. 4 in her Oneonta home. She was 91.
Born in Krynjaja, Hungary, she moved to the United States with her family at age 7. She grew up in Buffalo, attending Buffalo Public Schools and was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
She was employed in the food business and for many years was a popular waitress at Ye Olde Tavern in Niagara Falls.
She later moved to Hamburg and was live-in cook for Monsignor Donald L. Armbrewster of SS. Peter & Paul Church. After retiring in 1999, she moved to Oneonta.
Miss Geisinger enjoyed creating handmade hats of her own designs. Family members said she was known for her words of wisdom and sense of humor.
Survivors include a sister, Anne Micale of Oneonta.
