Sallie Mae Riddle
Sept. 27, 1925 -- March 6, 2006

Sallie Mae Riddle of Buffalo, a retired nurse's attendant, died last Monday in Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. She was 80.

Born Sallie Mae Jones in Philadelphia, Miss., she moved to Buffalo in the early 1950s. She was a nurse's attendant at Buffalo General Hospital for more than 25 years, retiring in the late 1980s.

A member of White Rock Baptist Church since 1960, Mrs. Riddle was the recording secretary of the Pastor's Aide Club and a member of the missionary ministry.

Her husband, Cleve, died in 1966.

Surviving are a daughter, Norma Jefferson of Buffalo, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 7 p.m. today in White Rock Baptist Church, 480 E. Utica St. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
