A Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes A. Suter, of Amherst, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
Mrs. Suter died Friday in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, after a brief illness. She was 84.
Born in the Town of Tonawanda, she was a graduate of the Kenmore school system. She worked at Wurlitzer Co. in North Tonawanda and was later employed as a nurse's aide at Beechwood Nursing Home in Getzville.
The former Agnes Brenon, she lived in northern Amherst for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Suter was a member of St. Christopher Church and a charter member of the Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, August, died in 1989.
She is survived by three sons, Walter of the City of Tonawanda, Daniel of Richland, Wash., and Richard of the Town of Tonawanda; six sisters, Helen Cassavaugh of Pendleton, Lucille Spoth of the Town of Tonawanda, Dolores Thuman of Pendleton, Rosemarie Harms of the City of Tonawanda, Sue May of Arizona and Anna Jurek of Clarence; two brothers, Edward Brenon and Charles Brenon, both of Amherst; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
