Lee Davis, a longtime Fruit Belt resident who collected scrap metal for a living, died unexpectedly March 1 in Deaconess Center. He was 86.
Born in Kentucky, Mr. Davis moved to Buffalo in the early 1970s. He and his best friend, Willie Fisher, worked together collecting discarded scrap metal, which they sold to dealers.
Friends said Mr. Davis enjoyed the outdoors.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in H. Alfred Lewis Mortuary, 968 Jefferson Ave., with a wake at 10.
