D. Dolores Rampado, who worked as a secretary for seven years at the Niagara County Court House before retiring, died Tuesday at home after a battle with cancer. She was 77.
Born Dolores LaPierre in Niagara Falls, she was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School.
She had been a resident of Lewiston for over 50 years.
Mrs. Rampado worked as an operator for New York Telephone, as a secretary at the Vanadium Corp. and in the 1970s worked at the Niagara County Court House.
In her early 20s, she was crowned Miss Niagara Falls, USA.
Her husband of 53 years, Daniel D., died in 2005.
Survivors include a son, Daniel W. of Ransomville; a daughter, Donna Werner of Brier, Wash.; and two grandsons.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 9 a.m. today in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 620 Center St. Burial will be in Dickersonville Cemetery.
