Blanche Nixon Diffine, a former records clerk at the Niagara Falls Police Department, died Wednesday in Largo Medical Center, Largo, Fla., after a brief illness. She was 90.
She was born Blanche Nassioy in Niagara Falls and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School.
Mrs. Diffine was a police records clerk for 14 years, retiring in 1978. She was a volunteer at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and for the Niagara County Arts Council.
Her first husband, James S. Nixon, died in 1979, and her second husband, Glenn Diffine, died in 1999.
Surviving are a son, James Nixon of Kenmore; three daughters, Emilie Coyne of Livermore, Calif., Mary Beth Laura of Indian Shores, Fla., and Patricia Patronski of Youngstown; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Brunett of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church, 8496 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
