A Mass of Christian Burial for Marion Gaik was offered today in St. Florian Catholic Church after prayers in Kolano Funeral Home.
Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
Mrs. Gaik, a longtime Riverside resident, died Monday in Harbor Health Care Center. She was 92.
Born Marion Tyran in Buffalo, she grew up on Roberts Street in Kaisertown.
She was a clerk at Sattler's and Adam, Meldrum & Anderson department stores before marrying Leo Gaik in 1942.
After rearing three sons, she worked for coin laundries on Hertel Avenue from 1955 to 1985.
Mrs. Gaik, who survived cancer in 1957, lived on Sunnyside Place in Riverside for 48 years. She loved driving friends to stores, lawn fetes and card parties.
Her husband died in 1966.
Surviving are two sons, Frank and Paul, both of Buffalo; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
