Florence G. Lasker, a retired assembly line worker at Harrison Radiator in Lockport, died of natural causes Thursday in Williamsville View Manor. She was 84.
Born Florence Plevniak, she grew up on a farm in Clarence, where she helped look after the animals, milked cows and sold produce at the market. She graduated from St. Mary's School in Swormville and worked at Harrison Radiator for 12 years before retiring in 1980.
Mrs. Lasker was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Clarence Center and St. Mary Catholic Church in Swormville and enjoyed traveling, gardening, making her own clothes, baking for her church and attending Mass.
Her husband of 50 years, Edward, died in 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Cullina of Celeste, Texas; a son, Donald of Mooresville, N.C.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at noon Saturday in St. Augustine Church, 8700 Clarence Center Road, Clarence Center. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Swormville.
