Cozella Ball, a retired hairdresser, died Wednesday in her Buffalo home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 73.
Known as "Cozy," the former Cozella Thompson was born in Buffalo. She worked during the 1970s as a beautician and barber in local shops. After retiring in the 1990s, she worked at Mr. Dee's Clothing Store and was a volunteer at Erie County Medical Center.
A Jehovah's Witness, she was a member of the Willert Park Congregation.
Survivors include two daughters, Edonn of Amherst and Susan of Tamarac, Fla.; a son, Kevin of Philadelphia; two brothers, Ronald Thompson and Curtis Thompson, both of Buffalo; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Alfred H. Lewis Mortuary, 968 Jefferson Ave.
