Private services for Robert C. General, of Buffalo, were held Feb. 2 in Jordan, Ont.
Mr. General died Jan. 29 in Millard Fillmore Hospital after an illness. He was 74.
Born in Ohsweken, Ont., Mr. General was a Cayuga from the Six Nations Reserve. He moved to Buffalo in the 1950s and worked for many years as a laborer for Local 210, retiring in the late 1980s.
Mr. General enjoyed trips to the casino, horse racing and playing cards.
His wife, Adeline McIntyre General, died in 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Boyd of Hamilton, Ont., and Bonnie Vazquez of Buffalo; two sons, Ralph of Hamilton and Robert of Buffalo; a sister, Dorothy of Hamilton; a brother, Fred of the Six Nations Reserve, Ont.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
