IDA sets hearing on business' bid for tax break

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency has scheduled a public hearing for 4:30 p.m. March 15 on a Niagara Falls business' request for a property tax break to help it move to Wheatfield.

The hearing will be held in the IDA offices at 6311 Inducon Corporate Drive.

Last week, the IDA board accepted an application from Health System Services, which wants to move from Tomson Avenue in Niagara Falls to a vacant former furniture store at Williams Road and Sawyer Drive.

The company, which works on Medicare reimbursements and offers equipment to nursing homes, wants a 10-year property tax break on its $1.09 million project.

It intends to add four workers to its current 22. A vote on the request may come at the IDA board meeting March 16.
