Edward Vallina Feb. 22, 1918 -- Feb. 10, 2006

Edward Vallina, a lifelong Niagara Falls resident and former Occidental Chemical Co. employee, died unexpectedly Friday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. He was 87.

Born in Niagara Falls, he served with the Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

He worked in instrument repair and was employed for 34 years at Occidental as a maintenance department clerk. He retired in 1979.

Mr. Vallina was a longtime member of Riverside Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Louise Tezanos; two sons, Bill of Denver and Wayne of Sanborn; and a granddaughter.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Riverside Presbyterian Church, 84th Street and Lindbergh Avenue.
