Carolyn V. Streb, formerly of Perry and Spencerport, died Friday in East Side Nursing Home in Warsaw. She was 89.
She was born in Silver Springs and was a 1935 graduate of Perry High School. She received a master's degree in education from Brockport College.
In 1940, she married Joseph A. Streb, and together they owned and operated a dairy farm in Spencerport, where she was active in the Grange Farm Bureau and was a 4-H Club leader.
Mrs. Streb also worked as a financial planner for Cushing Capital in Lockport. She enjoyed sewing, baking, canning, gardening and traveling. She was a member of Ogden Presbyterian Church in Spencerport.
Her husband died in 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Kaye Waldsmith of Ninilchik, Alaska; a brother, Floyd Voorhees of Silver Springs; a sister, Dorothy Parmely of Grattoes, Va.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Perry Center.
