NIAGARA FALLS -- Nicholas Pelosino Sr., a World War II veteran and a retired truck driver, died Sunday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 83.
Mr. Pelosino was born in Niagara Falls and was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School.
He married Irma M. Hiscock in 1958. She died in 1994.
Mr. Pelosino served in the Army during World War II.
He drove a truck for Iroquois Distributing and later Gorge Distributing for more than 35 years, retiring in the early 1970s.
He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include a daughter, Denise M. Pelsone of Niagara Falls; a son, Nicholas Jr. of the Town of Niagara; a stepson, Joseph Hiscock of Florida; a granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday in M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Chapel, Town of Niagara. Burial was in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
